गुरुजी कितने कृपालु हो, तुम कितने दयालु हो |
The above vaani was received by me for valentines and I had sung it for Guruji at Bada Mandir later on.
Now since I shifted to Gurgaon I would love to narrate this experience of mine with my ‘Maa Durga’ at the ‘Sheetla Mandir’ in Gurgaon in the month of August 2006.
The first time I had visited the Temple I had taken with me a garland of flowers and a coconut with a basket full of auspicious items and entered the temple. (Which one can easily buy from the stalls at the entrance of the temple available for all Devotees at a reasonable price.) After offering the basket to the ‘Pujari’ I waited for the ‘Pujari’ to give me some ‘Prasad’ and return the Basket to me after offering it to Divine Mother, as it is usually done in all the temples .
I waited as much as I could but had to move forward as the crowd in the temple was immense due to ‘Navratras’ and I was pushed from behind and so had to move forward without receiving any ‘Prasad’. I was complaining that this is my first visit and I have not been able to receive any ‘Prasad’ at the temple and just then I saw a middle aged dark lady with long uncombed messy hair sitting in one corner who looked at me and said smilingly, “Tune Mere Ko Jo Diya Meine le Liya, Meri Marzi, Mein Vapas Nahi Doongi” meaning, “Whatever you gave me I took it, my wish I will not give it back”.
I was puzzled and thinking her to be a mad woman felt irritated and continued complaining to the people around me and requested them to allow me to go back and ask for the ‘Prasad’ from the ‘Pujari’. A couple who were regular visitors at this temple overheard my complain and laughed and told me, that at this temple it was considered very auspicious if any one’s offering was not returned to them it signified that the Goddess was pleased with that devotee and had accepted her Devotion and offering in whatever form he/she had made. Now I thought aloud and said, “Oh I had just bought the basket for eleven rupees, I should have bought the more expensive one” and the couple looked at me and laughed and so did I. I SUDDENLY REALIZED THAT MAA HERSELF HAD GIVEN ME DARSHAN AND ACCEPTED MY OFFERINGS AND I WAS OVERWHELMED AND FELT GREATLY BLESSED.
A FEW DAYS LATER I VISITED ‘EMPPIRE ESTATE’ and as I was Partaking ‘Langar Prasad’ I heard this song for the first time in my life playing in the Durbar hall “Meri Muhobbat Kabul Kar lo” and the thought that passed my mind was ‘NO I SHOULD NOT SING OR HUM THIS TYPE OF A SONG IN THE PRESENCE OF GURUJI AND SINCE I REALLY LIKE THIS SONG I WILL SING IT FOR ‘MATA RAANI’ NEXT DAY IN THE AFTERNOON I AGAIN VISITED ‘Sheetla Mandir”.
Continued in the Book…
(These are Divine words and not to be changed by anyone since that will not be in interest of anyone).
